What is the IDN Publication Fund?

The goal of the IDN Publication Fund is to foster the dissemination of publications that have resulted from a collaboration between Emory University faculty, staff, and/or students and Emory University affiliates and/or community partners. The fund facilitates the publication of scholarly works by assuming some of the costs associated with publication. To be considered for funding, the publication must address subjects related to peace, health, human rights, and/or development. Priority will be given to Emory faculty, staff or students working with Emory affiliates and/or community partners whose work focuses on the above topics, preferably focusing on under-resourced settings and vulnerable populations across the world, including the US. Priority will also be given to papers first authored by Emory students.

We expect that the author meets ICJME authorship guidelines. All recipients of the IDN Publication Fund are required to acknowledge the Institute for Developing Nations (IDN) as a funder within their publication. Recipients must also submit a final version of their manuscript and/or publication to IDN.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants may receive funding for one publication per academic year. The maximum amount requested should not exceed $2,000; documentation of publications costs should be included with the application.
